DIDFA Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: October 26, 2026
DIDFA (“Dumb It Down For Anyone”) is operated by Angela S Johnson DBA DIDFA. This policy explains subscription cancellations, Pay As You Go purchases, failed document processing, and refund requests.
1. Subscription Billing
DIDFA offers monthly and annual subscriptions through Paddle: Assist $4.99 monthly or $49.90 annually; Clarity $7.99 monthly or $79.90 annually; Elite $12.99 monthly or $129.90 annually. Subscriptions renew automatically at the selected billing interval unless canceled. Applicable taxes may be added during checkout.
2. Canceling a Subscription
You may cancel your subscription through available DIDFA Account controls or seek assistance through Paddle’s customer support or portal. Cancellation stops future renewals. Your paid plan remains available until the end of the current paid billing term, unless otherwise required by law or applicable payment-provider terms. Canceling does not automatically refund the current billing period.
3. Annual Subscription Cancellations
Annual subscriptions are billed once per year and include two months free compared with twelve monthly payments. Canceling an annual subscription prevents the next annual renewal. Unused months are not automatically refunded when an annual subscription is canceled early, except where required by applicable law or payment-provider terms.
4. Upgrades and Downgrades
Upgrades take effect after the applicable prorated payment is successfully verified. Any pages already used in the current allowance period count toward the new plan's monthly allowance. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current paid subscription term. A scheduled downgrade does not automatically create a refund for the current subscription period.
5. Pay As You Go Purchases
Pay As You Go costs $1.99 per purchased upload and supports up to 50 pages. It can be used by eligible customers without changing their existing subscription. An unused purchase remains available until used or otherwise invalidated under applicable refund or account rules. If you leave before starting an analysis, an unused purchase is not consumed solely because you left the page. Once an analysis begins, closing the page, navigating away, or abandoning the session may consume the purchase without an automatic free replacement, subject to applicable consumer rights.
6. DIDFA-Caused Processing Failures
If DIDFA fails to complete an eligible analysis because of a verified service-side failure, DIDFA will restore the applicable usage entitlement or provide an appropriate refund, depending on the purchase and circumstances. Examples may include an internal processing failure or a service interruption that prevents DIDFA from completing the requested analysis. DIDFA will take reasonable steps to prevent duplicate usage deductions or duplicate charges when processing fails.
7. User-Initiated Interruptions
If you voluntarily close the page, navigate away, or abandon an analysis after processing begins, the usage entitlement may be consumed. If your internet connection is interrupted while the page remains open, DIDFA may attempt to recover the active session. A voluntary interruption does not automatically qualify for a refund or free replacement. This does not limit rights available under applicable consumer protection law.
8. Failed Subscription Payments
If a recurring subscription payment fails, DIDFA may provide a five-day grace period while the payment issue is resolved. If payment remains unsuccessful after the applicable grace period, paid access may be suspended or changed according to the subscription's status.
9. Requesting a Refund or Billing Review
For billing problems, duplicate charges, DIDFA-caused failures, or refund requests, contact admin@didfait.com or Paddle customer support. Include the email associated with your DIDFA account, approximate transaction date, and description of the issue. Do not email complete payment card numbers, passwords, or unnecessary sensitive information. DIDFA does not offer routine discretionary refunds. Refunds may be considered for DIDFA-caused failures or exceptional circumstances, with the business owner's involvement before a discretionary refund is issued through Paddle. Refunds required by applicable law or Paddle's binding requirements are honored. Approved refunds are processed through Paddle. An approved full or partial refund of a Pay As You Go purchase makes that purchase unavailable for future analyses and related writing assistance. Actual subscription refunds confirmed by Paddle are recorded accurately. Subscription access is not automatically revoked based on whether a refund is full or partial; unresolved entitlement decisions are flagged for business owner review.
10. Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy limits non-waivable cancellation, refund, or other consumer rights provided by applicable law.
11. Policy Changes
DIDFA may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
